In order to open a business checking account, we require the business's federal Employee Identification Number, or EIN, for most business types. If your business is a sole proprietorship or you're the sole LLC member, a Social Security number is accepted. For complete requirements, please refer to our Business Account Requirements.

The minimum opening deposit for our business checking accounts is $100.

Each item or transaction (other than non-PIN debit card transactions) which results in a debit or credit to the account is considered a separate "item," including each check, paper draft, deposit, item deposited, wire transfer, electronic withdrawal or transfer and PIN-based transaction.

First 250 items processed per statement period are free. Each item in excess of 250 per month is $0.50 per item. Items include all debits, credits and deposited items.
